Mbappé gets tackled in England
« CIt's probably not at all what we all expected. Personally, I thought when they got him he was the missing piece, much like when [Manchester] City got [Erling] Haaland. We expect him to score a lot of goals and that they [le Real] are more or less unstoppable » confided the former player of Watford.
“He must let go of his ego”
According to Deeney, Mbappé must concentrate on football and stop spreading himself too thin. “ What happened, I don't know if it's true, but looking back on it, my opinion is that his ego took precedence over his true work ethic. Being at PSG he had the freedom to do what he wanted, and the expectations weren't as high, they were always going to win the championship. So when you go to Real Madrid, there's Barcelona, there's at Atlético [Madrid]there is the expectation of winning the championship and the Champions League. And I think right now it's weighing on him a little too much. If it's his dream, he needs to let go of his ego and work a little harder.” he admitted.
