Who will face the Red Devils in the play-offs? Status quo for several potential adversaries! – All football

We now have to look down for the Red Devils. Everything is still open regarding the Nations League B play-offs.

Can we envisage a relegation of the Red Devils to Nations League B? The play-off is now inevitable and when we see the names of the teams vying for a ticket, we say to ourselves that we will have to remain very serious (we list the potential opponents here).

Earlier this week, good news for Belgium was of course England’s big victory away to Greece (0-3), which put the Three Lions back at the top of their group and the Hellenes in play-off position. However, everything remains possible: England hosts Ireland on the last day.

Austria and Norway, both on 10 points, remain neck and neck in their group: it will be down to who avoids a misstep on the final day, even if Austria holds the rope if the two teams win. Norway would then be a barrier.

Czechia, Georgia, Albania or Ukraine? Everything is possible!

This Saturday, the other two League B groups were on the program, and there was no real upheaval. In group 1, it’s the perfect status quo: Georgia, who equalized in the last minute via Georges Mikautadze, won against Ukraine (1-1), while Albania and the Czech Republic were also neutralized. (0-0).

Everything will remain possible, with 3 points between the first and the fourth. Ukraine is condemned to victory in Albania to seek a play-off position; Czechia only needs one point, but Georgia can lose everything if they don’t win in Prague, because in the event of a tie on points, both Albania and Ukraine would be ahead of them.

Iceland returns to the race

In group 3, there is a little change. Indeed, Iceland won (0-2) in Montenegro, and therefore comes within two points of Wales, who shared in Türkiye (0-0). Turkey is already guaranteed to be, at worst, a roadblock (and would be quite a piece).

While Turkey goes to Montenegro and only needs a point, Wales will host Iceland with a goal there too: a point to secure the play-off place, a victory to dream of overtaking Turkey . Iceland, in the event of victory, will go to the play-offs and will therefore be a potential opponent of the Devils. Welsh and Icelandic, in any case, would not be a gift.
