Celtics beat Raptors thanks to Jayson Tatum buzzer-beater

Jayson Tatum scored the second buzzer-beater of his career last night. The Boston Celtics winger gave his team victory (126-123) against the Toronto Raptors with a superb 3-point shot after five minutes of overtime.

Jayson Tatum had the opportunity to kill the game in regulation time against the Toronto Raptors and sent a brick which was starting to be a subject of mockery on the internets… but he who laughs last laughs best.

The Boston Celtics winger didn’t give up and took a decisive shot five minutes later! This time, the Olympic champion hit the mark and scored the second buzzer-beater of his career.

However, the meeting was long dominated by the Toronto Raptors. The Canadians had countless chances to finish the game, but crumbled under the pressure of the defending champions, notably leaving too many points on the way at the free throw line in the final quarter.

Jakob Poeltl (35 points and 12 rebounds at 16/19 shooting) and RJ Barrett (25 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists) were exceptional. They made life difficult for their opponents in the evening and it didn’t take much for the victory to swing to the other camp.

As often since the start of the season, the Boston Celtics are not playing their best basketball, but as often, they find ways to win. This night, it happened with an exceptional shot from Jayson Tatum!
