Fez – The Fez-Meknes region is preparing to host a golfing event of international stature, the “CRT Cup Golf” from November 17 to 21.
This prestigious event, organized by the Fès-Meknes Regional Tourism Council (CRT), in collaboration with the Fès-Meknes Regional Council, the Ministry of Tourism through the Moroccan National Tourism Office, the CDG, as well as several private partners, is part of an ambitious strategy aimed at positioning the region as a leading golf destination in Morocco.
In a statement to MAP, the president of the CRT Fès-Meknes, Ahmed Sentissi stressed that the event will bring together more than sixty tour operators, presidents of important golf associations from France and Spain, as well as renowned personalities and high-level athletes, adding that the event will also be marked by a strong participation of the international press, which will guarantee significant media coverage, thus contributing to the influence of the region.
Mr. Sentissi specified that an organizing committee has been working for several months to ensure the success of this event which will highlight the region’s riches.
The originality of the CRT Cup Golf, he noted, lies in its unique format which favors experience and discovery rather than pure competition, noting that during this competition, participants will have the opportunity to discover three exceptional courses, these include the Royal Golf of Fez, the Michlifen Resort & Golf and the Royal Golf of Meknes.
This diversity of courses will allow golfers to discover the different facets of the region, crossing the emblematic cities of Fez, Meknes and Ifrane.
Beyond the sporting aspect, the event offers a program rich in cultural and gastronomic discoveries. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in legendary Moroccan hospitality while exploring the region’s unique historical and cultural heritage. This holistic approach aims to create a memorable experience for international visitors.
The CRT Cup Golf is part of a broader dynamic of tourism promotion, supported by a major communication campaign on international markets. Promotional capsules specific to golf were broadcast to position the Fès-Meknes region alongside established Moroccan golf destinations such as Marrakech and Agadir, underlined the president of the CRT Fès-Meknes.
According to the organizers, this sporting event joins other major events such as the 2025 Africa Cup and the 2030 World Cup, thus contributing to Morocco’s international influence under the aegis of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. It demonstrates the region’s capacity to organize large-scale events and its ambition to become an essential tourist and sporting destination.
