Already winners over neighbors Fossato in the Coupe d’Occitanie, the Appameens did it again by winning on the Etoilistes pitch (0-2). A success which allows FC Pamiers to stay in contact with the Castres leader, whom they will host in two weeks.

A goal just before the break, another just after, Le Fossat paid dearly for two errors. The first is terrible. On a back pass, Chouka is deceived by the rebound and misses his clearance, the ball goes over his foot and goes into the back of the net on its own (0-1, 40th). Returning from the locker room, on the first corner, Clarac took advantage of a direct corner at the near post to double the lead for the Appameans (0-2, 51st). Two twists of fate but a rather logical victory for the Appameans who once again offered a high-level collective. The Fossatois were there but conceded a second defeat this season on their Versailles lawn which is painful. After its victory in the Coupe d’Occitanie at La Châtaigneraie, FC Pamiers confirms its ascendancy.
Between two quasi-typical teams, there is no observation round. From the outset the pace is sustained, the duels intense. If the first strike was to the credit of the Appameen Rouquet (nice save by Chouka who pushes back for a corner, 3rd), it is the Fossatois who prove to be the most incisive. A highlight materialized by a superb outside foot from Bahri in a very off-center position but Sanchez proved intractable (14th). The local attacking trio Bahri-Cabanes-Pinelli showed all the colors to the Appamean defense which resisted. Little by little, the debates become more balanced and the opportunities become less and less clear. Every square centimeter, every check is worth gold. Pinelli’s free kick barely missed (26th) but it was Mistou’s partners who turned the game on its head just before the break with Chouka’s error.
Surprised as soon as they returned from the locker room, the Fossatois seemed a little stunned. Despite the encouragement of their trainer, Florian Salvy and his friends have difficulty worrying Sanchez. Pamiers does not give up, the duels are painful, the two teams go blow for blow. The Fossatois are still missing a little something to tip the scales in their favor. And it is more the FCP which proves dangerous. Climent hits wide (69th) while, in the process, Chouka makes a superb save against a long shot (70th). The clock is ticking, Le Fossat is giving everything but the FCP is solid. The last opportunity of the meeting is for Rouquet, Chouka is vigilant (81st).
At the final whistle, the Appameans were able to burst out with joy and come and celebrate this success with their supporters. FC Pamiers hit hard. With this victory, Jérôme Rougé’s men pass Le Fossat in the standings but, above all, take second place, two points behind US Castres.
Agenda.- On November 30, Le Fossat will host FC Saverdun for a new derby while FC Pamiers will host Castres for a clash between the first two.
