It’s not just Olympique Lyonnais who were caught by the patrol. Auditioned by the DNCG (National Directorate of Control and Management) on Friday November 15, Le Havre will have to tighten its belt. Or at least continue. The body, responsible for monitoring the accounts of professional football clubs in , decided to regulate the club’s payroll and banned it from recruiting for payment.

10 million euros deficit

Not really a surprise for the leaders of the « club doyen » who expected such measures. Faced with a very tight budget, Le Havre had already had its payroll imposed last June. A measure which forced the residents of the Océane stadium to strengthen its workforce, during the summer transfer window, only with free players or in the form of loans. Still in conflict with the League over the distribution of CVC funds and impacted by the drop in rights, the club chaired by Jean-Michel Roussier would show a deficit of slightly more than 10 million euros.
