???? Brian Riemer falls on heavy for his first with Denmark, Roberto Martinez and Portugal strike four times in a quarter of an hour – All football

The Nations League continued this evening. Note in particular the victory of Spain in Denmark.

Brian Riemer knew it when he signed as coach of the Denmark : his team was going to face Spain, the reigning European champion, in its first match. A crucial meeting since the two nations had the same number of points at the top of group 4.

And it was Mikel Oyarzabal, decisive scorer in the Euro final against England, who opened the hostilities. Faced with La Roja’s pressure, the ball seemed to burn the feet of the Danes, who were then powerless against the fine collective action of the visitors (15th, 0-1).

At the hour mark, it was on a deep call that theSpain made the break, Ayoze Perez taking advantage of the poor defensive alignment to leave Kasper Schmeichel without reaction (0-2). Denmark reignited the suspense at the end of the match thanks to the error of the Spanish defense against the pressing, without however managing to get back together (1-2) despite the rises in the game of Andreas Skov Olsen and Kasper Dolberg. La Roja is therefore doing the right thing at the head of the group.

A Portugal with two faces

For his part, the Portugal of Roberto Martinez received Poland. The score was still goalless as the hour mark approached, but Rafael Leao’s opener changed everything. Shortly before the last quarter of an hour, Cristiano Ronaldo made the break from the penalty spot. Bruno Fernandes and Pedro Neto then quickly increased the score (4-0).

Ronaldo even scored a fifth goal with a magnificent bicycle kick, before Poland saved the honor in the last minutes (5-1). In the other match of the group, theScotland confirmed its revival by beating Croatia. Josh McGinn sent Hampden Park into eruption in the final five minutes. We will also note the division between Serbia and Switzerland, in particular because of the missed penalty from Aleksnadar Mitrovic (1-1).
