Jacob Fowler is one of the most watched Montreal Canadiens prospects this season.
With three shutouts in just eight starts, the Boston College Eagles goalie faced the University of Connecticut Huskies.
UConn started the first period in full swing with no less than 23 shots.
Fowler showed that he was not there to fool around, he who stopped 23 shots.
On the other hand, the second period was much more difficult for Fowler.
UConn continued to bombard the goalkeeper and hit the target three times to make it 3-1.
The third goal was the straw that broke the camel’s back, as the marker slipped through Fowler’s pads.
Immediately he stood up and delivered a blow blocker in the opponent’s face.
The goalkeeper was sent off from the match.
BC ultimately lost by a score of 5-4.
We didn’t know Fowler that way, but we understand that he has a lot of dog and is not afraid to send a message.
He obviously crossed the line in this match, because a cookie punch to the face isn’t gentle at all.
Fowler will have to learn to manage his emotions, he who is thirsty for victory and wants to do everything to prove that he is the best.
He could even be suspended for this action.
He is still on an excellent run, he who could possibly beat Greg Gardner’s record for shutouts in a season.
The latter had achieved no fewer than 12 shutouts in 41 games, but he was 25 years old. Fowler is only 19 years old.
With the current well-heeled Boston College club, the odds are in his favor.
However, he will have to pull himself together and manage his emotions better, because gestures like this are unacceptable.
In burst
– Another victory for the Rocket.
– Encore.
– Once again, the Penguins goaltender is having a difficult evening. This evening, it was Tristan Jarry who didn’t do the job, he who hadn’t kept the net since October 16.
