This year, the NHL has a new player uniform partner.
It’s now Fanatics who takes care of it whereas previously, Adidas had this role.
But on Wednesday evening in the NHL, we witnessed a pretty funny moment…
What is it about?
It’s simple: Jeff Petry has been spotted wearing old National League jerseys.
He didn’t have the “Fanatics” brand jersey on his back. Instead, he had this one from Adidas:
What happened to come to this? Only history will tell.
However…
What is certain is that the people who are high up at Fanatics must not have been very happy to see this error.
After all, Fanatics and the NHL agreed to the terms of a ten-year deal that began this season… And in the beginnings of the new deal, we see Jeff Petry with the wrong jersey on the ice.
This is not ideal!
That said, we have to wonder if this error comes from the company or the NHL. Fanatics has to send its jerseys to the various clubs in the league and perhaps there is simply an error that crept into an order.
However, I wonder why Fanatics would have Adidas brand jerseys in its various warehouses…
It’s still weird in the end. And I imagine that at Fanatics, we will do everything to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.
In burst
– The guys are ready.
– On paper, the Rocket has a nasty looking club.
– It goes without saying:
