Serie A. Claudio Ranieri returns to the AS Roma bench and comes out of retirement at 73

Never two without three for Claudio Ranieri. After two first stints at AS Rome (2009-2011 and 2019), the Italian coach returns to service in the Italian capital, struggling in the championship (12e with 13 points). The Serie A club made its arrival official this Thursday, November 14.

Ranieri, 73 years old on the clock, had nevertheless announced the end of his career last May when leaving Cagliari, after winning the match on the last day.

With this new passage to Rome, the Mister will know its 23e coaching experience after having traveled across Italy but also Europe with stints at FC , Chelsea, Valencia, and Fulham.
