Boxing: “The Mike Tyson – Jake Paul fight is settled in advance”

Moved for the first time, the duel between Jake Paul (27 years old) and Mike Tyson (58 years old) will be held this Friday in Dallas. Broadcast on Netflix, it will be one of the most watched fights in boxing history.

Millions of people are eagerly awaiting the return to the ring of the youngest world champion in the history of his sport for the first time since his 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr.

This fight between the influencer turned boxer and “Iron Mike” will take place according to professional rules. A format in which the legend of his sport has not fought since his retirement in 2005. This means that knockouts will be allowed and that the result of the match will be recorded in the official statistics of both athletes.

“This is not a professional fight, it is nothing other than a lucrative exhibition,” said Carl Froch (47) to the British media “Metro”. First of all, Mike Tyson doesn’t have a professional license, secondly, it’s an eight-round, two-minute fight.”

The multiple super-middleweight world champion is very critical of this confrontation. “I don’t think it should take place because Tyson is too old. I heard it and I think there is something in the contract saying he can’t even try to hurt Paul,” adds the English boxer.

Carl Froch even claims that the dice are already loaded. “In my opinion, everything is set in advance for Paul to win. I’m sure if Tyson managed to land a big punch to Paul’s chin he could knock him unconscious. It’s his only chance, but he won’t have the chance to do it.”

A month ago, in a video posted on Tiktok, Jake Paul promised to offer Mike Tyson an additional $5 million if he lasted more than four rounds.
