The new jersey of the Moroccan team was unveiled during a grandiose ceremony organized on Monday at Rabat-Salé airport.

This launch event, which marks a major step in anticipation of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) football (Morocco-2025), highlights the close cooperation between the equipment manufacturer Puma, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation ( FRMF), the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Planet Sport. It also underlines the collective commitment to supporting Moroccan football on the international scene. Speaking on this occasion, the President and CEO of RAM, Abdelhamid Addou, affirmed that this event is historic for RAM as it highlights the constant support of the national airline to the team of Morocco football.
“We are delighted with the organization of this event which will allow us to support our national teams, men and women,” he added.
“The organization of this ceremony is part of a global strategy to promote Moroccan sport and the Morocco brand,” he noted, continuing that RAM has always been at the forefront of actions promoting destination Morocco.
To promote the national team and Morocco as a tourist destination, several innovative actions, initiated in partnership with Planet Sport, are being carried out by Royal Air Maroc by having all cabin crew (hostesses and stewards) wear the new jerseys. ) for two days, on board Royal Air Maroc planes, in support of the national selection and promotion of football as a vector of tourist influence for the Morocco destination, we read in a joint press release from the FRMF, the RAM, Puma and Planet Sport.
In addition, this exceptional action will not be limited to cabin crew, but also to Royal Air Maroc ground staff who work in the Kingdom’s airports and internationally. This mainly concerns employees based in stopovers where the company provides strong activity such as Casablanca, Marrakech, Dakhla, Laâyoune and Oujda, but also in Abidjan, -, Frankfurt, London, Milan, New York, Barcelona and Dakar. For his part, Peter Dangl, director at Puma, indicated that this global equipment manufacturer is very proud to be able to collaborate with a talented Moroccan designer, in this case Abderrahmane Trabsini, who designed a jersey representing the cultural richness of Morocco. The jersey features designs inspired by traditional geometric designs and tiles from Morocco with the Kingdom’s five-pointed star at its heart, he said, noting that Puma has equipped this jersey with the most innovative technology in order to offer national team players a light, cold and high-performance t-shirt.
“It’s not just a jersey, it’s a symbol of football, a symbol of Morocco. He will become the ambassador of the national team,” he insisted.
The national team players, led by coach Walid Regragui, for their part posed for a souvenir photo with the new jersey. There were, among others, Sofyan Amrabat, Yahya Attiyat Allah, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Adam Massina, Bilal El Khannouss and Brahim Diaz. Speaking on the occasion, the goalkeeper of the national team, Yassine Bounou, expressed his love for the national colors, noting that from a young age, he dreamed of defending the Atlas Lions jersey .
“When I was a child, it was difficult to get a Moroccan team jersey on the market. Today, it is supported by everyone, thanks to the influence of Moroccan football on the African and global levels,” he said. “Thanks to the efforts of the players, the leaders of Moroccan football, and especially HM King Mohammed VI, the craze for the national jersey is growing,” he said, calling on Moroccans to be established in the Kingdom or abroad, to defend the colors of the country.
The new national team jersey was designed in two colors, red for home matches, and white for away matches.
Embodying the essence of Moroccan art, the Home kit features designs inspired by geometric designs and traditional Moroccan zellige tiles, with the five-pointed star of the flag of Morocco highlighted at the center, reflecting the authenticity of Moroccan culture.
On the Away kit, embroidery and symbols inspired by Amazigh craftsmanship have been incorporated with motifs that deeply connect to Moroccan heritage, bringing an additional cultural dimension to the design. The vibrant red and green palette reflects the national flag, while the inclusion of Tifinagh on the back of the jersey pays homage to Morocco’s deep and rich history and cultural diversity. This ceremony took place in the presence, in particular, of the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sport, Mohammed Saad Berrada, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, and Lieutenant General Mohamed Haramou , Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, and several other personalities.
