The professional hockey league ECHL announced Tuesday a crop of four inductees into its Hall of Fame for 2025, and Quebec forward Alexandre Burrows is one of them.
Burrows, along with former goaltender Dave Gagnon, former forward Jamey Hicks and builder Glen Thornnorough, will be honored on January 17.
This will be the 17th class of inductees in ECHL history.
It was with the Greenville Grrrowl in 2002-2003 that Burrows made his professional debut, after his stay in the QMJHL with the Shawinigan Cataractes.
In 134 games played over two seasons, Burrows amassed 111 points, including 47 goals.
Early in the 2004-05 AHL schedule, the Pincourt native was called up by the Manitoba Moose, and the following season, he made his NHL debut, with the Vancouver Canucks, en route to a career of 13 campaigns with the Canucks and Ottawa Senators.
Over the course of his 913 games in the Bettman circuit, Burrows totaled 409 points, including 205 goals and 204 assists.
After retiring as a player, he was an assistant coach first with the Laval Rocket, then the Montreal Canadiens. He still works within the organization, now as a player development consultant.
