Magnificent hold-up by the Hawks against the Celtics (117-116)!

No one was giving too much credit for the Atlanta Hawks before the start of the match against the Boston Celtics. However, deprived of Trae Young, Quin Snyder’s men played with immense heart to win in one of the best matches of the season.

The Atlanta Hawks played with more intensity than the Boston Celtics this Tuesday evening, an observation symbolized by the game-winner of the match: an offensive rebound from Onyeka Okongwu less than seven seconds from the last siren.

However, it was the hosts who dominated the entire match thanks to magnificent performances from Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. The first got into his game perfectly with 16 points in the first quarter while the second played the tricks from long distance, especially in hot moments to keep his team in the lead, almost until the end.

And if their cumulative 68 points and 10 long-range shots were not enough for the green house, it is because opposite another duo also shone brightly. Dyson Daniels knew his responsibilities would increase in Trae Young’s absence and the Australian made no secret of it. Monstrous in defense, he constantly revived his team and impacted the match in all aspects of the game. 28 points, 7 assists and 6 interceptions at 12/21 shooting… that’s extremely clean.

Alongside him, Jalen Johnson once again proved his versatility by scoring his second career triple-double. 18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, add 3 interceptions and you understand the hell experienced by the Celts during ball recoveries (20 turnovers).

Larry Nance Jr was also valuable coming off the bench and at the end of the match with 19 points at 5/6 from afar while our Frenchie Zaccharie Risacher came close to his first career double-double: 8 points, 9 rebounds and 3 interceptions in 24 minutes, a +/- of +12.

Magnificent meeting with a deserved outcome for the pioupious. The return of the NBA In-Season Tournament does not disappoint, quite the contrary!

What a match between the Hawks and the Celtics! ????

The Pioupious beat the reigning champions without Trae Young thanks to a huge Dyson Daniels and Jalen Johnson’s second career triple-double!

Yet Jaylen Brown and Derrick White are far from unworthy! ????
