Roman Josi and Kevin Fiala beaten

There was defeat on Monday evening for Roman Josi and Kevin Fiala. The Bernois and Nashville lost 3-2 to Colorado, the Saint-Gallois and Los Angeles 3-1 in Calgary.

In Denver, Nashville was crucified by a success from Samuel Girard after 2’47” of play in overtime. Author of his first goal of the season, the Quebecer exploited a big error from Brady Skjei to beat Juuse Saros.

Roman Josi delivered his tenth assist of the season for Colton Sissons’ 2-2 in the 41st minute. But the Predators captain was unable to prevent this eleventh defeat of the season in sixteen games, the fourth in a row away from home.

In Calgary, Los Angeles gave in to the verve of opposing captain Mikael Backlund, author of a goal and an assist. Kevin Fiala remained ‘mute’ for a third game in a row. The St. Welshman must react as quickly as possible, starting Wednesday in Denver.

First appearance for Schmid

Akira Schmid (24) made his first appearance of the season in the Vegas Golden Knights cage. The Bernese goalkeeper, who arrived this summer from the New Jersey Devils, replaced Adin Hill, who had conceded four goals, shortly before mid-match in Las Vegas. Schmid shone by making 12 saves. The final 5-2 in favor of the Carolina Hurricanes fell while the Golden Knights had released their goalie.
