Coaches’ salaries revealed, 100% Spanish podium

Who can really compete with Pep Guardiola? On the sporting level we don’t know, but on the salary side… no one. This Friday, The Sun revealed the salaries of the 20 Premier League coaches this season and the leader has not budged.

After his extension at Arsenal, until 2027, Mikel Arteta now receives 10 million pounds sterling, excluding bonuses (11.8 million euros). The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder remains very far from the highest salary in the championship, held by… Pep Guardiola, winner of the last four Premier League titles with Manchester City.

A 100% Spanish podium

The podium is completed by a third Spaniard. Ahead of the new Liverpool manager Arne Slot (£6.2 million/year) or Erik ten Hag (£6.75 million/year), it is Aston Villa coach Unai Emery (£8 million/year) who earns the third highest salary in England.

The lowest salary? With 1.2 million euros per year, it is Andoni Iraola, the Bournemouth coach, who brings up the rear. Last season, the Iberian coach allowed the Cherries to finish 12th in the Premier League, level on points with Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton.
