Felice Mazzù hasn’t finished mentioning the canceled goal against Standard (and we can understand it) – All football

Sint-Truiden beat Mechelen this Friday, and can therefore forget the point lost at Standard. Or at least move forward, because Felice Mazzù will not forget.

After Sint-Truiden’s victory on Friday evening against KV Mechelen, Happy Mazzù once again referred to the point lost on the Standard pitch. No one at Stayen can forget this point considered “stolen” (read here), and the Trudonnaire club logically filed a complaint.

Fortunately for Mazzù and the Canaries, this Friday’s victory puts the team back on track in this tight championship, where the top 6 is never far away… like the Playdowns. Since the arrival of the former Charleroi coach, STVV has taken 14 units.

A remark to which Felice Mazzù reacted with irony: “Fourteen? We took fifteen, right?”, he smiled. A reference, of course, to the point “taken” on the Sclessin pitch at the end of the match following Matthieu Epolo’s error, but lost following the (bad) decision of the VAR.

But Sint-Truiden played on Friday, and can therefore still end the weekend close to the “red” zone. “There will be other matches played this weekend by our competitors. We will therefore take stock on Sunday evening before the break. But the atmosphere is very good,” admitted Mazzù.

A bet for the moment succeeded by coach Carolo, who took a risk by getting back in the saddle so soon after his successive failures at Anderlecht and Mambourg. But after a difficult start to the season, STVV is progressing.
