Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras has made it clear his preference between playing wing or center.
During the broadcast of the match between the Ducks and the Minnesota Wild, Friday evening on the Victory+ channel, journalist Aly Lozoff revealed the 23-year-old player’s feelings on this subject.

“He hates playing on the wing,” he told me. “He’s focused on what he can control,” she said.
“But there are several reasons behind this preference,” Lozoff continued. “On the wing, he says it’s more difficult to play with speed, because there are a lot of plays on the boards. While at center, you are engaged in each of your appearances, and Zegras likes to play defensively. Taking faceoffs is also something he enjoys.”
Even though he currently plays in his preferred position, flanked by Frank Vatrano and Troy Terry, Zegras is having a difficult start to the season. In 13 games so far, he has only one goal and two assists for three points.
His difficulties are not new, he who presented harvests of 15 points in 31 games last year, after having experienced campaigns of 61 and 65 points the two previous seasons.
