Cyril Ngonge is ambitious in Naples. The striker wants to establish himself with his club to continue to be called up to the Devils.
Cyril Ngonge is one of those players who was never called up to the Belgian U21s before joining the Red Devils. His affirmation in Serie A allowed him to be retained for the first time by Domenico Tedesco during the last rally.
Now that he has tasted it, Ngonge wants more: “My objective, in the years to come, is indeed to become a manager in Naples, to win titles there, as well as a sure bet with the Red Devils […] THE Red Devilsit’s not “just” a national team. To be selected, there are conditions. You have to play in your club, in particular.”
In this interview given to RTBF, the native of Uccle confirms his desire to continue to take a step forward in Naples. Arriving for 18 million euros last winter, he plays little, the fault of competition from boys like Matteo Politano or David Neres.
Continue to progress with Antonio Conte
He owes his first selection in particular to a double registered in the Cup: “For the moment, the selections, I take them as they come. If I am selected, it’s a plus, and if I am not, I don’t doesn’t discourage me, it’s because the coach has his reasons.”
“My goals Naples are clear, and once I reach them here, the Red Devils, it will come by itself. I don’t worry too much. The 2026 World Cup is obviously in the back of my mind,” he concludes, ambitiously.
