OGC : no general public ticketing, limited travel for opposing supporters… the match against Twente classified as very risky this Thursday

Twente supporters will be closely monitored during their visit to this Thursday, November 7. A prefectural decree prohibits them from wearing any distinctive sign in the colors of the Dutch club and their travel will be very limited.

The meeting is classified at level 4 on the risk scale by the prefecture. This level 4 corresponds to serious risks of disturbances to public order.

Last September, these same Dutch supporters caused serious disturbances to public order during their trip to Manchester, recalls the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture. In 2022, they had already forced a security system in Florence to violently confront Fiorentina supporters. Among them, 75 ultras would be considered very at risk.

No general public ticketing

Under these conditions, access to the stadium, outside the parking lot, will be prohibited for Twente supporters. They will also not be able to drive or park around the Allianz Riviera and in the Nice city center.

If OGC Nice offered more than 1,000 tickets to the Dutch club, most of the opposing supporters will not be present this Thursday evening, saving themselves for their future trip to Greece against Panathinaikos.

At the same time, in order to avoid a massive and uncontrolled influx of fans, as during the serious excesses against Cologne, the GYM had not set up sales to the general public for this match.
