Al-Hilal reportedly looking to get rid of Neymar

End of the adventure for Neymar within Al-Hilal? The Saudi champion seems to have lost confidence in his star striker and is ready to take drastic measures.

According to UOL Esporte, Neymar could leave Al-Hilal as early as January, with the club potentially releasing him without receiving a transfer fee.

Al-Hilal is seriously considering terminating Neymar’s contract prematurely. The former PSG and Barcelona striker has hardly played due to injuries, suffering another setback in a recent match against Esteghlal.

It has also been reported that Neymar’s former club Santos would be very interested in his return, especially as they are on the verge of gaining promotion from Serie B to Serie A in Brazil.

As a reminder, Neymar was sidelined after suffering a torn anterior cruciate knee ligament during a 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay.

The Brazilian is also linked with Inter Miami in MLS, where he could reunite with former FC Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, although manager Tata Martino has played down these rumors due to the league’s financial rules .

‘Ney’ would surely be delighted with such a move after a difficult spell at Al-Hilal, where he has made just seven appearances since arriving from PSG in August 2023.
