Market: Neymar, c'est fini

The breaking point has been reached once again in Neymar Jr's career.

The numbers are terrible: since his arrival in Saudi Arabia in August 2023, Neymar has only played seven matches, for two assists and one small goal scored. Victim of a serious knee injury two months after his debut in the ranks of Al-Hilalthe Brazilian resumed just a fortnight ago before injuring his thigh again this week.

The injury is certainly too much for the Riyadh club, which according to the auriverde media UOL Esporte has decided to part ways with its star recruited for more than 90 million euros from PSG in the summer of 2023. Beyond fragility of his physical condition, it is indeed the boy's limited investment which would be a sin in the eyes of the Saudi leaders.

Heading to Santos or Miami?

Not registered to play the first phase of the Saudi Pro League, Neymar was supposed to join the list of lucky ones next January – this will not happen a priori since Al-Hilal intends to favor other players in a league which limits the number of foreigners to 10 per workforce, including two elements under 21 years old.

Today, the outgoing champion counts above all on Mitrovic, Malcom, Milinkovic-Savic, Marcos Leonardo, Lodi, Koulibaly, Cancelo and Bounou. Also a pure and simple termination of the contract is being studied for this winter while the lease of the person concerned expires next June. If this were the case, the exit doors for Neymar are all found. Two avenues seem to be emerging at this time. The one that brings him back to Santos, the club of his beginnings in Brazil; or the one which allows him to find his great friends Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami.
