Stoppage for Jeremy Sochan! Very efficient at the start of the season, the Spurs strong winger is suffering from a broken left thumb. The American-Polish will have to have an operation and he risks going to the infirmary for a while.
While Devin Vassell is very close to returning, it is another executive of Gregg Popovich who is forced to join the sidelines. According to Shams Charania of ESPNJeremy Sochan reportedly fractured his left thumb and will have surgery this week.
MAIS IN ????????????
Sochan had a magnificent start to the season, a huge blow to the Spurs who hoped to find the full group with Devin Vassell but saw their strong winger injured… ???? https://t.co/azNiLj9mwx

Real blow for the Spurs! Not only is Jeremy Sochan a very good defender but he had shown real progress at the start of the season with 15.4 points (career best average), 7.7 rebounds (career best average) and 3 assists average. No duration of unavailability is given here but you should not expect to see Sochan back for many weeks. In his absence, Harrison Barnes should be repositioned at position 4, a position he already occupied with the Kings. Between that and Gregg Popovich's health problems, things aren't going well for San Antonio.
