He is, like Joaquin Seys, one of the names mentioned to join the core of the Devils given the situation on the right side (Thomas Meunier is injured, Timothy Castagne is only returning, Thomas Foket relegated to the shadows by Sardella, while Alessio Castro-Montes is also on the sidelines).
But another national team is keeping an eye on Sardella. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, it would indeed arouse the interest of Cameroon. The federation has already approached its entourage to test the waters. The 22-year-old from Brussels would have a preference for Belgium, but other considerations come into play.

“For my mother, it would be a dream that I play for Cameroon, because she comes from there and her family still lives there,” Sardella explains to the Dutch-speaking daily. “Cameroon also regularly participates in the African Cup and the World Cup.”
“But on the other hand, Belgium has always been my dream.
