Manu Fajardo, the sporting director of Real Betis, spoke about the renewal of Abdessamad Ezzalzouli’s contract.

In an exclusive statement to Le Site info, Fajardo indicated that the negotiations did not take much time, specifying that the Moroccan international believes in the club’s project and wishes to continue the adventure. “We discussed with coach Manuel Pellegrini and the management before making the decision to extend Ezzalzouli’s contract. All components agreed that the attacker should stay. He is a great player with undeniable talent,” assured the director.

Fajardo also indicated that Ezzalzouli has performed exceptionally well at the start of the season. “He has regained his form after a difficult period last season. The injuries he had sustained had affected his performance. But today, Ezzalzouli has developed and managed to regain confidence in himself,” he said.

Remember that the Moroccan international extended his contract with Real Betis until June 30, 2029. “Real Betis Balompié and Ez Abde have agreed to extend the contract of the Moroccan international for an additional season, until “in 2029”, indicates the Spanish club in a press release.

Arriving at Betis during the 2023/24 season, Ezzalzouli quickly established himself as a key element of the squad, playing a decisive role in the team’s qualification for the UEFA Conference League, underlines the club, noting that he played 51 matches in a single season, during which he scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists.

At only 23 years old, Ezzalzouli has also established himself on the international scene as a pillar of the Atlas Lions, with whom he notably won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games.

The Lion of the Atlas expressed his satisfaction and said he wanted to “demonstrate on the pitch this confidence” that the Verdiblanco club had placed in him. “I want to maintain this level, or even improve it. I will work to do even more and to score the goals,” he told the Andalusian club’s media.
