“We had a good start where the opponent did not put us in danger. In the 20th minute, the opponent opened the scoring after an error on our part. We hit the post and have two big chances to come back, but ultimately, Düdingen doubles the lead with a high recovery before the break.
In the 2nd half, we started well and created chances, but the opponent converted a nice free kick. We have the merit of not giving up and coming back to 3-1 with 20 minutes to go, but unfortunately, on a counterattack, we conceded another goal. For this end of the 1st round, the objective remains the same. This match was special because it was a derby. Grandson had a very good first lap, but we were pushed around during the first half hour. Furthermore, we paid dearly for our multiple defensive errors. The score was 2-1 at half-time, but the youngsters still finished this period better.
The second half was much better: we dominated. However, Grandson put us in trouble again, with too many defensive lapses in situations that we should have been able to handle. The score could have been completely different at the end of the match, emotions took over and we must improve on this. »

« The away match against FC Basel ended in a heavy 9-0 defeat for our U20s. From the start, our lack of commitment and desire was felt, heavily influencing our performance. “We were going to the leader. Despite our opponent’s quick opening score, we started the match well. It was enough for us to lose concentration and lack self-discipline defensively at the end of the first half, and the score rose very quickly.

“We played a special match since we traveled to Valmont. Indeed, several of our players made their debut there before joining the Yverdon academy. Despite the context, we had to get back to work after qualifying on Wednesday. Fatigue was felt in the first third, in addition to a good team opposite who knew how to pose difficulties for us in the game. During the second third, we had to show our playing abilities, despite individual technical errors. “We started off with a bang, quickly taking a comfortable lead which seemed to keep us safe. But the opponent, far from being resigned, woke up at the end of the match, reminding us that we must not give up. Of course, the bulk of the work was done, but we let ourselves be surprised by an excess of confidence, where we should have consolidated our lead. A lack of standards, perhaps. “Another match where we dominated the game, but once again, we lacked the offensive efficiency to succeed in erasing our catastrophic start. In fact, we were down by two goals after 1 minute of play. We have been dominating for a few weeks now without managing to win our matches. Players must be much more demanding of themselves and understand the importance of small details in football (1st touch of the ball, taking information, communication) in order to continue their progress. “This weekend, our FE13 team took part in two important trips: a championship match on Saturday in Bulle against Team AFF Castella and a friendly on Sunday in Dijon against the U13s from the training center.
During the first match in Bulle, our players won 3-0 thanks to a solid and controlled performance. They particularly excelled in managing the high and low moments of the match, showing great character to keep a clean sheet. We also observed progress in offensive animation, particularly in running and moving in attack.
The next day, in Dijon, the opposition was high level against the elite of the Côte d’Or. It was an intense and hard-fought encounter, where both teams fought tirelessly. Trailing 4-1, our players showed determination to get back to 4-4. However, a few concentration errors cost us avoidable goals late in the game, which is part of the challenge and learning at this age.
