Things are brewing in Brossard this morning.
After seeing four defensemen jump on the ice (with Adam Nicholas) 90 minutes before regular practice, we saw the club’s six centers have a meeting at the top with Marc Bureau, a faceoff specialist.
Nick Suzuki, Jake Evans, Christian Dvorak, Oliver Kapanen, Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook were all there.
This means that before the start of training, there were two groups who worked with specialists to correct the club’s significant shortcomings at the start of the season.
And when I say two, I mean three. Samuel Montembeault was on the second ice at the CN Complex in Brossard to practice his shots with traffic in front of the net.
Among the aspects that should be noted about the training itself, it is important to note that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard (non-contact) still trained with the group.
And in the short term, it should also be noted that Juraj Slafkovsky was present. Good news for anyone who didn’t finish Saturday’s match.
It should be mentioned that it was a practice, once again, under the sign of intensity. Martin St-Louis did not hesitate to be demanding of his men, who have not given enough since the start of the season.
He also practiced two-on-two.
And what about threesomes? Kirby Dach was back on the first unit and Juraj Slafkovsky practiced with Jake Evans and Alex Newhook on the club’s second line.
So Evans got a promotion. I like it. #AuMerite
Michael Pezzetta was too much… just like Jayden Struble on defense. The third pair consisted of Arber Xhekaj and Justin Barron, who skipped his turn on Saturday. Lane Hutson was with David Savard and Mike Matheson, with Kaiden Guhle.
Will it be the same again tomorrow night? To have.
