Rodrygo is back with the group and wants to be available for the match against AC Milan

The Brazilian Rodrygo Goesinjured since October 22, has completed his recovery from the right hamstring injury suffered against Borussia Dortmund by returning to the squad for part of Real Madrid’s training session on Sunday, and he hopes to start for Tuesday’s Champions League match against AC Milan.

The picture of the morning at Real Madrid was provided by Rodrygo, who has reached the final stage of a healing process which has seen his recovery time reduced. The Brazilian striker was injured during one of the last actions of the Champions League match at the Santiago Bernabeuproviding an assist during the ‘comeback’ against Borussia Dortmund, and he then missed the ‘Clásico’ against FC Barcelona.

According to information collected by ‘EFE’ from the club, Rodrygo carried out exercises with the ball as well as penalties, and his feelings were good for this first day of work with the rest of his teammates. He did not complete the last part of the training session, the matches in small spaces, and ended his morning with individual bodybuilding work.

On Monday he will take a final test before Carlo Ancelotti decides whether or not to include him in the squad for the match against Milan or to wait for his return to La Liga for the match against Osasuna next Saturday.

The last training session of a week without a league match for Real Madrid, due to the postponement of the trip to Valencia due to the DANA (cold drop and floods), confirmed the good physical condition of German central defender Antonio Rüdiger, who overcame muscle discomfort.

On the other hand, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois continues to train alone due to a muscle injury in his left abductorand will remain on the sidelines for the second consecutive time against Milan after missing the ‘Clásico’. Dani Carvajal, injured in the knee, and Austrian David Alaba, who trained alone and finished the morning in the weight room, were also absent from Sunday’s training.

On Monday at 11 a.m., Ancelotti will lead the last training session before returning to competition, after eight days without a match, focusing on Rodrygo and looking for tactical solutions to recover from the ‘Clásico’ defeat. The aim is to put themselves on the path to European qualification in the match againstAC Milan au Santiago Bernabeu.
