Nigerians threatened after CAF sanction (Video)

Due to recent CAF sanctions against Libya, Libyans are calling for retaliation against the Nigerian community.

Intriguing situation, after CAF’s merciless sanctions in the hijacked flight case before the Libya-Nigeria match. A widely followed blog on Facebook claims without real evidence that local media are calling on the Libyan government to take strong measures against the Nigerian community in an illegal situation on their soil.

Calls for retaliation:

“All Libyan channels are urging the government to arrest Nigerian workers working here in Libya for not having legal papers. They must pay $500 plus taxes. The fine that Libya was charged with will be paid by their citizens who live in Libya. NWe have suffered injustice”we read in one of the calls.

“The media also says that we have no borders with Nigeria, what is their benefit? They are a burden for the Libyan people. They have to go home »the message continues.

The reprisals would have already started!

Adenaike Emmanuel, a Nigerian living in Tripoli, reportedly confirmed the start of the reprisals.

“They have already started. The news came on Saturday and they said they couldn’t accept it and they weren’t the ones who would pay the money. They started to prove it »he said according to punching.

“Someone called me and said they had already started arresting people in his area. The same thing is happening here in Tripoli. In some places, people were arrested on Sunday morning and afternoon. As I said before, Libyans do not hide their feelings. They think that by doing this they are taking revenge”said Adenaike.
