UEFA has confirmed the possibility of legal action against those involved in the false quotes attributed to Aleksander Ceferin.
The update concerns the fallout following the Ballon d’Or after Vinicius Junior controversially missed out on the award.
In addition to the shock in the Spanish capital following France Football’s call, Los Blancos opted for a total boycott of the ceremony in Paris, despite widespread criticism of their actions.

As the debate continues, rumors on social media have increased, with claims that Ceferin said the decision was justified, joining criticism from Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid.
However, no firm sources have been linked to the quotes, which Ceferin reportedly denied came from him or UEFA.
The European governing body has now issued a statement on the matter as it seeks to clarify matters and end the controversy surrounding its 57-year-old leader.
“We categorically deny the allegations circulating about UEFA’s alleged Ballon d’Or comments. “Neither UEFA nor its president have made any statement on the result or the selection for the award,” it reads.
“Such information is completely unfounded and does not reflect reality. »
