for its last tournament, Bercy kept the sense of celebration

NARRATIVE – The 39th and final edition of the Rolex Masters held in eastern Paris keeps all its promises. A summary of almost 40 years of history of a tournament like no other.

The Parisian Masters 1000 is being held this week in full flame at the Accor Arena. Since Boris Becker’s inaugural coronation in 1986, what has long been called the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, was the scene of the second biggest event in French behind Roland-Garros. The French Tennis Federation (FFT), owner of the tournament, has chosen Paris La Défense Arena, 40,000 seats (in concert configuration) to host the event from 2025 and continue the history of the Parisian Masters 1000, the second category of the most important tournaments behind the Grand Slams. The first five days (the tournament ends on Sunday) proved to be a perfect summary of 38 years of history of an event located in eastern Paris. French people who shine, a lively public, surprises, last minute packages and controversies.
