Recall Luke Tuch to create an electroshock: Anthony Marcotte’s proposal

After the 7-2 defeat against the Rangers last week, the Canadian recovered well.

He won his two games last weekend against the Blues and the Flyers.

But on Tuesday, two days ago, the club completely collapsed against the Seattle Kraken (8-2). And there is a phrase that often comes up: “players must put more effort on the ice”.

Jake Evans and Brendan Gallagher are the only ones who show up each night. They do well in their respective roles and lead by example.

But what should we do to send a message to the rest of the group? Remember that Pascal Vincent spoke about recalls last night after the Rocket match…

Anthony Marcotte, on BPM Sports, answered this question today. And his suggestion is simple: the CH must recall Luke Tuch to create something.

Anthony Marcotte explains his point by saying that since the start of the season, Luke Tuch has been playing the right way.

He deserves a call-up in his eyes because he has the mold to help the Canadiens right now.

I find it interesting because basically, we don’t necessarily think of Tuch when we think of the players who could be recalled by the CH.

He doesn’t have NHL experience unlike guys like Barré-Boulet, Roy, Gignac or Condotta… But Tuch is a different player than those guys: he hits, he’s (very) physical and he’s also capable of producing offensively.

He has still collected four points in seven games in since the start of the season, which is not trivial for a player who is in his first year as a professional.

I like Anthony Marcotte’s idea, especially if we see the Canadian struggling in terms of effort this evening.

You need guys who want to be there and if you give a young guy like Tuch the chance to show off, it’s certain that the effort will be there because he will want to prove himself and because it’s that, his style of play. Hearing Pascal Vincent talk about recalls yesterday, it seems like it’s not a coincidence…

To be continued.

– Logic.

– Big operation for Curtis Lazar.

– He is unique.

– Yeah. It’s flat, but that’s the same.
