The Maradona children announced on Thursday the launch of a “Maradona Foundation”pour “honor the legacy” of the idol of Argentine football, and revealed some features of a future memorial in the tourist heart of Buenos Aires, which expects to welcome a million visitors per year.

The Foundation, for its part, was born from the desire to “pay homage to him, preserve his heritage, keep his trace alive”declared Dalma, at times moved to tears.

It will aim, according to its site, to stimulate, “with active participation of the community, sporting or cultural projects that promote human development and national identity”. Chaired by Dalma, it will bring together Gianinna, Diego Junior, Jana and Diego Fernando, other children recognized by Maradona, from three different relationships.
