The qualifying phase of the BMW Golf Cup in the South ended last Saturday, October 26 on the Fairmont Royal Palm course in Marrakech. More than 77 participants, men and women, competed on a challenging course, marked by difficult weather conditions, with torrential rain and strong gusts of wind.
Smeia has just announced the finalists who will represent the South stage during the national final, scheduled for November 3, 2024 at the Bahia Golf Club in Bouznika. For the Ladies series: Fenoglio Marion (Royal Palm); Naji Yasmina (Noria); Salagoity Françoise (Royal Palm); Boutahchicht Khadija (RGM); Suspicion Gustine (Royal Palm).
As for the 1st Gentlemen’s Series, the finalists are: Abdellaoui Khalid (Bouznika); Alami Abdelaziz (RGAM); Lemseffer Mouhcine (PGC); El Ouardighi Said (Tazegzout); Ouifak Nadir (Noria).
For the 2nd Gentlemen Series, the finalists are Reghioua Mohammed Chérif (Noria); Chaoui Zoheir (RGEJ) ; Tlemcani Mohamed (CGGC) ; Nagifi Lahoucine (Tazegzout) ; Hakkam Norddine (RGDES).
At the same time, Smeia-BMW intends to organize the only private tournament in Morocco dedicated to young golfers, an initiative launched since the first edition of the BMW Golf Cup in 2001 to encourage emerging talents. This competition is scheduled for this Saturday, November 2, at the Bahia Golf Club in Bouznika, with an organizational and refereeing system identical to the stages of the BMW Golf Cup for adults.
On Sunday, November 3, the 45 qualified golfers from the different regions will compete, with one place at stake for each series, Ladies, 1era et 2thGentlemen series, in order to secure their ticket for the world final scheduled for Bangkok on March 2, 2025.
