Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton scored two quick goals in the third period to help the Jets defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-3 on Sunday in Winnipeg.
The Jets (5-0-0) remain the only undefeated team this season in the National Hockey League.
This is also the best start to a campaign in the history of the organization.
Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele, Vladislav Namestnikov and Nino Niederreiter, in an empty net, also scored for Winnipeg.
Nikolaj Ehlers, Colin Miller and Josh Morrissey each had two assists.
Lars Eller scored two goals in the Penguins’ defeat (3-4-0). Veteran Kevin Hayes also found the back of the net.
Eric Comrie, who was making his first start this season, was brilliant in the victory, with 39 saves.
Alex Nedeljkovic, also making his first start of the campaign, stopped 31 shots for the Penguins.
