This Sunday evening, Sporting de Charleroi will be able to be supported by 600 supporters during the trip to Standard de Liège, as part of the 11th day of the Pro League. Due to incidents that occurred during last season’s match, when clashes broke out within the stadium and around Sclessin, the Liège authorities and police considered banning the presence of Carolos supporters during the Walloon derby. Meetings took place between the different parties in order to find a solution.

Finally, the different parties found a place to agree: “After several meetings, a compromise was found to authorize 600 places with identification in the visiting block of Sclessin, for the Choc Wallon”, wrote the Carole club on X.

Standard – Sporting de Charleroi: why supporters must absolutely avoid excesses in the Walloon clash

But this decision is not unanimous. In a press release published on Facebook, the Ultras Infernos, a group of ultras from Standard, reacted strongly and denounced this decision: “The observation is clear, we are entering an era where it is easier to ban rather than dialogue », Writes the group in its press release.

And added: “The arrival of opposing supporters is, in our opinion, essential. A match without opposing supporters does not have the same flavor, it is part of the very values of football. »

The Ultras want to send a message: “We will mark our dissatisfaction via messages in the stands and by canceling the tifo planned for this match. »
