Atlas Lions: the Oujda stadium of honor closes its doors

The Oujda stadium of honor will be closed until next November, when Morocco will face Lesotho on the sidelines of the 6th day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers.

The MCO will thus play its matches at the municipal stadium, which hosts the USM Oujda matches. “Those responsible preferred to close the stadium of honor in order to maintain its lawn for the Atlas Lions match, scheduled for November 15,” we learn.

Before hosting the double confrontation against the Central African Republic, the stadium had undergone redevelopment work on the locker rooms, stands and lighting. A new scoreboard has also been installed there.

Remember that thanks to its latest victory against the Central African Republic, Morocco consolidates its place at the top of Group B with 12 points obtained in four victories, ahead of Gabon which has 7 points. The Central African Republic is third with 3 points, while Lesotho brings up the rear with a single point.

During the 5th day, Morocco will travel to Gabon on November 11, while Lesotho will host the Central African Republic.
