NFL: Malik Nabers with no memory of his “scary” concussion

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers didn’t remember the end of the play that led to a concussion two weeks ago against the Dallas Cowboys. He said the video showed him being unconscious on the play.

The whole situation was “scary” according to the recruit.

Nabers, who is expected to return to action this week when the Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles, has missed the past two games with a concussion suffered Oct. 3, when his face hit the field while he was was trying to catch a pass from Daniel Jones.

“It was scary when I couldn’t remember what happened,” Nabers said. I can’t remember the game, so yeah, it’s scary. »

“The last thing I remember is [Jones] who throws me the ball. That’s all. »

Nabers said he had headaches and throbbing pain after the injury. He did not specify other symptoms. It was his first known concussion.

The seventh overall pick in the 2024 draft was given the green light Thursday after being on the concussion protocol, two weeks after suffering the injury. He was a limited participant in practice Friday due to a groin issue that dates back to his college days. The Giants don’t seem to think this is a problem.

Coach Brian Daboll said the groin got tight during Thursday’s practice. The team simply took the necessary precautions. Nabers was not listed as injured for Sunday and is expected to be able to be used as much as necessary.

Running back Devin Singletary (groin) will also return to the game against the Eagles. Singletary has missed the last two games.
