Leader of the Central European Rally, Thierry Neuville is racing towards a first world title

So far, so good for Thierry Neuville. Apart from a small scare on Thursday evening which forced him to drag a damaged front right wing throughout Friday’s stage, things couldn’t have started better at the Central European Rally. While he needs to take two points from Ott Tänak without giving up too much ground to Sébastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans (respectively 10 and 15 points) to formalize his world title, the Belgian did more than ensure on the Czech roads, taking the lead on Friday morning then gradually widening the gap to take a 6”3 margin over Ogier, “satisfied with this start to the race”, and 7”8 over Tänak.
