Tony Marinaro calls in a cemetery

Last night, the Montreal Canadiens played poorly and this morning, we saw that Juraj Slafkovsky, Mike Matheson and Kaiden Guhle are day to day.

Guhle will not, unlike the other two, make the trip to New York. And I have a feeling that defensively, against the Islanders, it will be Hutson, Savard, Barron, Struble, Mailloux and Matheson/Xhekaj, depending on the health of the veteran.

Yes, we are already there.

The rose-colored glasses of training camp took the edge quite quickly and yesterday’s game had a devastating effect on the morale of the people who follow the Montreal Canadiens.

And who better than Tony Marinaro to explain it?

Basically, the host of BPM Sports decided, during his show Le Forum, to call a funeral home. He said that the CH was increasing the pressure and that today was his last day on earth.

So he wanted to be ready and on air he made his funeral pre-arrangements. Candy!

The extract published by BPM Sports, which made a big splash by picking up Marinaro to host from 10 a.m. to noon, does not do complete justice to the entire sequence, which lasts more than ten minutes.

It’s definitely worth checking out on YouTube, for example. Especially if you want to hear him sing…

Note also that Marinaro, at the start of the show, decided to call his mother (who does not watch hockey) to ask her if Jayden Struble should play. The conversation took place in Italian and the host’s mother said that yes, he should have played.

It didn’t take much to piss Marinaro off, you’ll understand.

I wonder how Tony will reinvent himself to criticize the CH if he comes out so strong from match #5 of the season. What will it be like in January? In February? In March? I still have to see that.

Unless the CH is #InTheMix in the next few months – ah and forget it.
