From December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026, Morocco will literally be in turmoil. Indeed, this true land of football will host the African Cup of Nations. Miraculous at home during the last edition, Ivory Coast will be keen to retain its title. The Moroccans, for their part, will want to delight their supporters by winning this CAN 2025, which would be a first since… 1976. The first step for all the nations concerned is to validate their qualification. What some have managed to do in recent days.

How to qualify for the group stage?

There are currently 48. 48 nations on the starting line for the main round of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Half of them, or 24 teams, will be present in Morocco.
