What if this former Anderlecht player was already the golden shot of the next summer transfer window in the Pro League? – All

Chancel Mbemba was reintegrated into the professional squad of Olympique de by Roberto De Zerbi. However, the central defender’s situation has not changed: he can find a new club.

Chancel Mbemba has had a very good career since his departure from Sporting Anderlecht in 2015. Left for Newcastle for 12 million euros, the Congolese central defender then signed for Porto, before joining Marseille in 2022.

After a fairly successful start in the Marseille city, the situation then deteriorated. The 30-year-old, at the end of his contract next June, was pushed out during the summer, but did not want to leave.

Chancel Mbemba was dismissed by OM twice during the summer transfer window, before being removed from the professional group by Roberto De Zerbi. Wearing the captain’s armband on the last day of the defunct championship, the 85-time international has not played since.

Chancel Mbemba experiences dark hours in Marseille

Denouncing abusive treatment, Chancel Mbemba contacted the legal commission of the Professional League (LFP), which ruled in his favor this Friday. While he was sanctioned by a 14-day withholding of salary following the clash with Ali Zarrak, the head coach of the reserve team, the defender saw the sanction reduced to 6 days, specify our colleagues at Foot Mercato.

The Leopard was therefore reinstated in the professional group, but the situation has not really changed. Chancel Mbemba will not play under the orders of Roberto De Zerbi and can find a new club, while Marseille uses the excuse of medical problems with his knee to defend his method of operation. However, OM would not consider terminating his contract. He will therefore be free at the end of the season… and possibly available to Belgian clubs.
