Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher present at the 2025 Race Of Champions

Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher have confirmed their participation in the 2025 Race Of Champions to be held in Sydney, Australia.

The Race Of Champions will make its return at the start of 2025. In fact, the event did not take place last year in Sweden at Pite Havsbad, “due to uncertainties regarding the use of the land area located near the beach and the sea”.

After the 2022 and 2023 editions held at this location in Sweden on a snowy track, the Race Of Champions will make its return to a stadium at the Accor Stadium, the venue that hosted the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

This 2025 edition, which will be held on Friday March 7 and Saturday March 8, will allow fans to wait before the first Formula 1 Grand Prix of the season which will take place the following weekend, also in Australia.

Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher, regulars at this Race of Champions, will once again form the German team as part of the Nations Cup.

The four-time world champion has already won the ROC once individually and six times teaming up with Mick’s father Michael Schumacher. Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher have already teamed up several times, but without ever winning this Nations Cup.

As usual, the event will be divided into two days. The first in a team battle grouped by nation, while the second will be fought individually.

“More superstars from Formula 1, IndyCar, , Supercars, Rallying and Rallycross will be announced in the coming weeks”announces the Race Of Champions.

Vettel : “There are no excuses” at the Race Of Champions

“I’m excited to return to the Race Of Champions and team up with Mick again,” rejoiced Sebastian Vettel. “It will be exciting to race at the old Sydney Olympic Stadium, which looks like an ideal venue for the Race Of Champions. Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I think Fredrik [Johnsson] and his team have chosen an incredible site for the next chapter of the ROC.”

“I also support ROC’s efforts to become a sustainable motorsport event, which started with ROC Sweden.”

“All drivers who have the honor of participating in the ROC fall in love with the event, because it reminds us of the reasons we started racing: pure competition and, of course, with identical cars, it “There are no excuses.”

“I will do everything I can to help Germany win another ROC Nations Cup title with Mick on Friday night, but I won’t do him any favors when we go for the final victory on Saturday night, especially since he beat me in the semi-final of the individual ROC in Sweden in 2023!”

Mick Schumacher also expressed his ambitions: “Australia is one of my favorite places and representing Germany with Sebastian at the ROC in Sydney will definitely be a lot of fun. After finishing second in the individual ROC in Sweden in 2023 and in the ROC Nations Cup in Mexico with Seb, the aim this time around is to win the overall winners’ trophy in both the ROC Nations Cup on Friday evening and in the individual Race Of Champions on Saturday.”
