The great operation of Marseille
Four days after conceding their first setback of the season in Marseille, the Dukes of Angers reacted by winning in style, at home, against Anglet (5-2), inflicting a fifth consecutive defeat on the Basques. Bordeaux, which hosted Chamonix, made short work of the Pionniers (5-0) while Marseille largely dominated Amiens in Picardy (6-1) and moved ahead of its evening opponent in the standings. The Phocaeans climb to second place behind Angers and ahead of Grenoble, which has two matches less.
