the Minteh-Barrow duo knocks out Madagascar

Madagascar probably gave up on its qualification for CAN 2025 by losing against Gambia (1-0) this Monday in El Jadida, Morocco, on the 4th day of the qualifiers.

After being taken over in the 97th minute by the same opponent last week in the first leg
(1-1), the Bear were this time stung head-on by the Scorpions and their shock duo composed of Yankuba Minteh, already a scorer in the first leg, and Musa Barrow. The Brighton winger burst down the right and crossed victoriously for the Al Taawoun striker, who scored the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute.

Consequence: the Gambians signed the good operation by provisionally seizing 2nd place in group A, tied with the Comoros who face Tunisia on Tuesday. With three points behind this duo, the Malagasy, last in the group, however seem to have seriously compromised their chances.
