ASFA finally wins its first success by dominating Mechal (43-23)

Finally, ASFA achieved its first success in the African Champion Clubs Championship. This Monday, the military team dominated Mechal (43-23) during the third and final group meeting at the Hizam Hall.

This time, Mamadou Senghor’s team accomplished their mission in the most brilliant way by winning their match against the Ethiopians of Mechal Handball. In a meeting that was favorable to it, the ASFA did not do half-measures against the weakest opponent in the group. After an excellent start accompanied by good control, the reigning champion of Senegal logically took the upper hand at the break (25-11).

During the restart, the ASFA continued its momentum without being worried by the Ethiopians who had difficulty resisting the assault of the residents of Camp Leclerc de Liberté 6. As during the first half, the ASFA finishes the job as she started it in order to seize the victory in a logical manner given the progress of the meeting. Conversely, the Ethiopians conceded their third consecutive defeat in three matches. The young Khadim Diouf won and was elected man of the match thanks to his remarkable performance.
