The Capitales de Québec crowned champions in… Trois-Pistoles!

Already champions of the last three years in the Frontier Baseball League, the Quebec Capitales were crowned again on Saturday evening. This time, as part of the 3rd edition of the Les Buts Filles Fall Classic which took place in Trois-Pistoles.

With Patrick Scalabrini as honorary president of this charity softball tournament, the Capitales organization has certainly left its mark on this edition.

Offering a spectacle punctuated by numerous circuits, the Capitals also largely contributed to raising money for young people in the Basque region. These young people remain the big winners of this annual event organized by the BR Fund with a collection of $20,780 to help them pursue their dreams.

With Crowl, Lebreux and Quirion

Just like Scalabrini himself, players Kyle Crowl, Marc-Antoine Lebreux and Anthony Quirion are among those who “amazed with powerful strikes and defensive plays worthy of professionals,” according to a press release issued by the ‘organization. If the mascot Capi made a notable presence at the tournament, the semi-final against the representatives of Fromagerie des Basques and the final against the BA Foundations were hotly contested.

Every year, I am amazed by the outpouring of solidarity from the population and the precious partners of the BR Fund, including the City of Trois-Pistoles and the Capitals of Quebec. I am greatly moved by all the smiles generated.”
