In addition to Morocco automatically qualifying, Burkina Faso validated its ticket for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after beating Burundi 2-0 on Sunday in a qualifying match.
The Stallions scored goals from Bertrand Traoré and Mohamed Konaté in Abidjan. They qualified after a draw against Senegal, a victory against Malawi and two victories against Burundi.
This will be the 14th participation in the CAN for the Burkinabè Babes, whose best outing was finishing second behind Nigeria in South Africa 11 years ago.
Burkina Faso therefore joins Morocco next year which will host the competition. Burkina Faso has 10 points, Senegal seven, Burundi three and Malawi none.
