The 39-year-old Argentinian woman, who accuses French rugby players of aggravated rape Oscar Jegou et Hugo Auradousaw the justice of his country reject the latest medical expertise brought to the file by his counsel, as reported The Parisian.

The latter relied heavily on the testimony of a hematologist who produced a medical certificate dated October 3 ensuring that the plaintiff did not suffer from Willebrand disease (which disrupts blood clotting).

An illness on which the lawyers of the Jégou-Auradou duo relied in order to explain the 15 bruises presented by the alleged victim when she filed a complaint last July.

The complainant assures that these bruises are the result of blows and violence inflicted by the two rugby players, on the night of July 6 to 7, in room 603 of the Diplomatic hotel in Mendoza.

Request for dismissal studied on October 18

The Mendoza public prosecutor’s office indicated that this new testimony from the hematologist was not “useful” and that it did not change anything during the Jégou-Auradou affair. Therefore, the request for dismissalfiled by the advice of the two French players, will be well studied on Friday October 18.

The Mendoza public prosecutor’s office decided on October 4 to dismiss the case, thus going in the direction of Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jégou. The two players, aged 21, were indicted for aggravated rape, while they, who admitted a consensual sexual act, have always denied any form of violence towards Soledad, the 39-year-old woman who accuses them.
