as expected, overthrows Morocco

Algeria Football – During preparations for the UNAF tournament, Morocco suffered a defeat against the French team at the CNF in Clairefontaine.

The U20 teams from and Morocco faced each other this Friday at the CNF in Clairefontaine in a thrilling friendly match, where France managed to overthrow Morocco with a score of 4-3. The Atlas Lion Cubs showed a good level of play, taking the lead twice thanks to Saad Haddad, who scored goals in the 15th and 45th minutes. Yassine Gessim then widened the gap by scoring in the 58th minute, making the score 3-1 in favor of Morocco.

However, the Tricolores, under the direction of Bernard Diomède, did not give up. Steve Ngoura first equalized in the 30th minute before completing his hat-trick with goals in the 59th and 62nd minutes, putting the two teams back on level terms. The match was then decided in the final moments, when Dehmaine Tabibou Assoumani converted a penalty, giving the French team victory.

This friendly meeting, followed by a second scheduled for Monday at the same location, constitutes essential preparation for the two selections with a view to the CAN U20 qualifiers, scheduled for November in Morocco. The performances of the young players suggest a bright future for the football of the two nations.
